When state or federal funding is involved,
the importance of regulations comes into play.

We are regularly sought out for our CEQA expertise and technical capabilities to address complex and controversial projects.

REPRESENTATIVE PROJECTS

Meridian assisted the City of Bishop in coordination with federal BLM agency to enhance the trail system for OHV use in the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. This highly controversial pilot project was implemented under AB 628.

Meridian worked with Caltrans on a permit for an easement encroachment to make way for dry utilities. Of particular interest were potential impacts to State and federally listed special-status species - Meridian was able to determine through biological surveys that no impacts would occur and prepared a Natural Environmental Study with Minimal Impacts (NES-MI).

Meridian assisted its client with environmental review and documentation for proposed exploratory mining operations in Placer County, California. The project required exhaustive coordination with the Bureau of Land Management and multiple permits and approvals from local agencies.
